New Domestically Developed Munitions: Gazap and Hallet

Türkiye introduced the Gazap and Hallet munitions, developed under the Ministry of National Defense. The Gazap is based on the MK84 bomb but redesigned with 10,000 high-dispersion particles. These fragments cover up to 1 km, tripling effectiveness compared to conventional munitions. Internal modifications increase post-blast pressure, enhancing destructive capacity.

Integrated Defense Ecosystem and Advanced Weapon Systems

Defense companies showcased a unified approach. Small arms, remote-controlled platforms, and unmanned vehicles were integrated into joint operational frameworks. Uni Robotics and Canik AEI Systems presented autonomous technologies paired with high-precision weapons.

The Tron 30 remote 30 mm weapon station and Venomore lightweight system stood out. Both provide adaptable precision firepower for land and amphibious platforms, reducing crew exposure in combat.

Showcasing Land, Naval, and Electronic Warfare Innovations

Armored vehicles like the FNSS PARS, BMC Kirpi II, and Nurol NMS 4×4 demonstrated mobility and versatility. In the naval domain, the Marlin unmanned surface vessel, developed by Sefine Shipyard and Aselsan, showcased autonomous maritime operations with integrated weapons systems.

Aselsan and Havelsan displayed advanced radar arrays, electronic warfare modules, and AI-driven training simulations, strengthening Türkiye’s position in next-gen command-and-control technologies.

Global Partnerships and Record Defense Exports

Officials highlighted Türkiye’s long-term policy of technological independence. Collaboration between universities, research centers, and defense firms has enabled rapid advancements despite Western embargoes.

Türkiye has evolved from a defense technology consumer to a global solutions provider, offering innovative, combat-proven platforms to partners worldwide.

Technological Independence as a Strategic Doctrine

Turkish officials highlighted that the nation’s long-standing policy of technological independence, strengthened by domestic R&D collaborations between universities, research centers, and defense manufacturers, has been key to achieving rapid advancements despite Western embargoes.

Conclusion

IDEF 2025 confirmed Türkiye’s rising role in the global defense market. With munitions like Gazap and Hallet, advanced weapon systems, and strong international partnerships, Türkiye is consolidating its position as a key player in global defense innovation.
