Current status
ANKA III is Turkish Aerospace’s turbofan-powered flying-wing unmanned combat aircraft developed for strike, ISR and electronic-warfare missions.
The aircraft first flew on 28 December 2023. Turkish Aerospace states that the programme has progressed into weapons testing, including successful TEBER-82 and TOLUN releases, while a second prototype has also entered flight testing. The company identifies Turkish Air Force delivery as the programme’s operational objective.
Why it matters
ANKA III gives Türkiye a second, technologically distinct path toward low-observable uncrewed combat aviation alongside KIZILELMA.
Its flying-wing configuration, internal payload stations, electronic-warfare mission set and planned crewed-uncrewed cooperation make the aircraft especially relevant to penetrating ISR, suppression of enemy air defences and distributed strike concepts.
